Restoration - 2010

 

One thing I didn't pay attention to when I was checking out the crank was this end. Besides having to use 4 shims (instead of the usual 3), I had a difficult time setting the end play because the rubber o'ring in the flywheel would catch the edge of the crank and pull out. Not wanting to disassemble the motor, I used a small file to break the edge of the inside and outside edge of the crank. It worked!
