Restoration - 2010

So I decide I want to polish the outside of the mag a little and it would be easier to do so with the base off. Here you can see the base in my hand and the mess of pivoting brass plates. I won't be taking this thing apart again because I had a hell of a time getting the plates in the correct position so the base would go back on. I don't know why this thing has to be so complicated for the centrifugal advance work.
